Uses of Cloud Storage

The cloud storage is a model of data storage on computers in the network where the data are stored on multiple servers’ virtual normally housed in facilities of third parties, or on dedicated servers. The companies that deal with hosting usually manage data centres of large, customers who need space to store its data capacity to buy or lease storage and use it to their needs. The data centre operators, in the background, virtualized the resources according to customer requests and publish them as virtual servers that customers can manage independently. Physical resources can be distributed across multiple servers in a completely transparent to the end user.

Cloud data storage – a model of an online repository where data is stored in multiple, distributed servers on the network provided for use by customers, mainly the third party. In contrast to the model of data storage on its own, dedicated servers, purchased or leased exclusively for such purposes, or any number of internal structure of the server to the client, in general, is not visible. The data is stored, and processed as well as in the so-called cloud, which is, in terms of the client, a large virtual server. Physically, such a server can be located quite remotely from each other geographically, down to the location on different continents.
